Male Arrested for Robbery

On September 12th, 2017 officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police’s Break and Enter Unit arrested 27 year old Colin Wallace of John Street in relation to 2 armed robberies. 

 

It is alleged that on September 6th, 2017 the accused attended a business in the 200 block of Korah Road armed with a knife.  The accused pointed the knife at the staff member and demanded cash.  He fled the scene with an amount of cash and cigarettes.

 

Later, on September 11th, the accused attended a business in the 100 block of Gore Street where he produced a knife and again demanded cash.  The accused took an amount of cash and then sprayed bear spray around the store before fleeing the scene.

 

The accused was located by police on September 12th, and was arrested.  He has been charged with;

 

  • 2 counts of robbery,
  • 2 counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and;
  • One count of administering a noxious substance

 

He was taken into custody and held for bail court.
